Daniel John Wegener

Mr. Daniel John Wegener, of Bay City, passed away early Friday morning, January 13, 2017 at McLaren Bay Region, age 64. He was born on July 15, 1952 in Bay City. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a truck driver with Countryside Transportation of Sebewaing. Dan was a member of the American Legion Post #18 and enjoyed watching TV. On March 15, 1975 Dan married the former Brenda Sue Feinauer and she preceded him in death on October 27, 2013. Dan is survived by his son, Branden (Donna) Wegener of Bay City; his two grandchildren, Damion and Breanna; his mother, Shirley Wegener; three sisters, Luanne Wegener of Auburn, Linda (Dan) Haven of Auburn, Sherry (Ken) Smith of Midland; his mother-in-law, Nancy Lewis of Auburn; two brothers-in-law, Bob (Kristie) Feinauer of Auburn and William (Lisa) Feinauer of Saginaw; a sister-in-law, Bonnie Greenleaf of Auburn; father-in-law, Robert Feinauer and his nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, Dan was also preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Wegener and his father, John Wegener. The Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 16, 2017 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. LeRoy Westphal followed by Military Honors conducted by the Bay County Veterans Council and the U.S. Army. Private interment will be in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 p.m. and to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
