Adolph H. Holzwart

Mr. Holzwart passed away peacefully Tuesday morning June 22, 2010 at Bay Regional Medical Center. Age 89 years. He was born January 8, 1921 in Unionville, Michigan. Adolph was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, he retired in 1988from Dow Plastic Lined Pipe, he was a member of V.F.W. and had served with the United States Army during WW II. Adolph was an avid bowler, enjoyed watching baseball and was a great Detroit Tiger fan. He is survived by one son; Tim Holzwart of Muskegon, one granddaughter, Tessa Holzwart of New Era, MI and one sister; Eileen Ostrander of Marysville, MI. He was preceded in death by his wife G. Louise Holzwart on November 3, 1998 and one son; David A. Holzwart on May 29, 2010. Funeral and Committal Services will take place Friday, June 25, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church (3033 E. Wilder Road). Officiating will be Rev. Daniel C. Meckes with Private interment in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Thursday from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.. Adolph will be taken to the church on Friday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. and until the time of services.
