Alana Marie Luke

Alana passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Detroit Children's Hospital at the age of 15 years. She was born in Chula Vista, California on June 27, 2006 to Nathan and Sherry (James) Luke. Alana attended school at Handy Middle School and was presently a Sophomore at Central High School where she was a member of the Varsity Choir. In her spare time, she enjoyed drawing, swimming, cooking and playing video games. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and her friends.
Alana is survived by her parents, Nathan and Sherry Luke; sister, Leah Luke; brother, Aaron Luke; grandmothers, Cecil Burns-Vasquez and Linda Osborn; grandfathers, Jeffery James and Joseph Luke; aunts and uncles, Kassandra (Kyle) Simpson, Cheyenne Burns, Angela (Larry) Vacek, Benjamin (Catalina) Luke, April Marshall and Jeremiah Marshall and many nieces and nephews.
At the request of the family, cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Charles Campbell. Friends may visit at the Gephart Funeral Home on Saturday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Contributions may be made to the wishes of the family.
