Alba D. Shaw

Alba D. Shaw Bay City, Michigan Mrs. Shaw passed away Wednesday October 3, 2012 at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, MI surrounded by her loving family. Age 88 years. She was born June 2, 1924 in Hale, MI. On August 13, 1949 she married Keith B. Shaw and he preceded her in death on March 10, 1994. Alba was an avid volunteer, earning the RSVP of the Year Award in 2010 along with many other volunteer awards. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors include her children; Karen (Edward) Suzor, Nancy (Robert) Hamlin, William (Sue) Shaw and Mark (Jodi) Shaw, grandchildren; Kristin (Daniel) Hilgart, Lisa (Eric) Muir, Jamie Shaw and Erik Shaw, one great grandchild; Faith Marie Hilgart and many other wonderful family and friends. Funeral Services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 8, 2012 at First United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Debbie Thomas with private Entombment in Oakwood Mausoleum, Saginaw, MI. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Sunday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m.. Mrs. Shaw will be taken to the church on Monday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. and until the time of service.
