Mrs. Alice J. (Potter) Wyatt, of Bay City, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2015, age 91. The daughter of the late John Maxson, Sr. and Mildred (Worden) Maxson, she was born on February 2, 1923 in Bay City. During WWII Alice worked at the Autolite Plant. She was a member of the former West Baptist Church and currently was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Mrs. Wyatt is survived by seven children, Gary (Shari) Potter of Arizona, Susan (James) Dishaw of Bay City, Debra (Curtis) Burley of Bay City, Nancy Cetus of Midland, Sandy (Joe) Hill of Muskegon, Caroline Wyatt of Bay City and Tricia (Brian Wallgren) Wyatt of Midland; her grandchildren, Lisa (Gerald) Lauria, Jimmy (Heather) Murphy, Melissa (John) Newman, Steve Murphy, Kim Cunningham, Casey Potter, Easy Armstrong, Ricky Armstrong, Laramie Fraser, John Murphy, Rebecca Murphy, Kevin Murphy, Shane Burley, Angela Burley, Jannelle Burley, Christina Burley, Chris Cetus, Robbie Cetus, Michelle Cash, Heidi McKee, Jeff Pruder, Stephanie Wojcik, Alexis Roznowski, Joe Hill, Jr., Bethany Cody, Daniel Hill, Andrew Hill, Matthew Hill and Caleb Hill; great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Fraser, Dominique Murphy, Landon Murphy, Blake Murphy, Caitlyn Lauria, Jacob Lauria and Connor Burley and many other great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Alice was also survived by two sisters, Shirley (Bob) Smith and Donna Cobb; and two brothers, Robert Maxson and Ken Maxson. Besides her parents, Alice was also preceded in death by her first husband, Ralph Potter in 1967; her second husband, Elwood "Percy" Wyatt in 1997; a daughter, Kay Lynn Murphy in 2009; two grandsons, Michael David Elwood Murphy in 2008 and William Ralph Potter; a great-grandson, Eric J. Zimmer in 2012; two brothers, John Maxson, Jr. and Alan Maxson; and two sisters, Violet Idolski and Joanne Henderson. It was Alice's desire for cremation to take place. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc.
