Allen Lawrence Eichhorn

Allen Lawrence Eichhorn died on November 14, 2025; he was 87 years old. Born to Thelma (Hartfelder) and Leonard Eichhorn of Bay City Michigan on October 16, 1938, he attended T. L. Handy High School in Bay City. He attended Delta College and Ferris State University. He was active in the school choir at Ferris. After graduation, Allen worked in advertising sales for most of his career. He worked for Gerity TV and WGER Radio along with other media outlets.

Allen was a member at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bay City and served in different offices in the church. He was on the Salvation Army Advisory Board for over 40 years and volunteered for many of their activities including fundraising such as ringing the bell at Christmas time and organizing other community events to raise funds. He received numerous awards for his dedication and service to the Salvation Army. Allen was a member of the Bay City Lions Club where he was active in recruiting new members and volunteering for activities of the Club. He held offices on the Board of Directors and as Membership Chair in the Lions Club. Allen was active in the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce including recruiting new members and attending the Eye Opener breakfasts and Business After Hours events.

He was married to Sue A. (Winn) Eichhorn on September 14, 1968, who preceded him in death. He had two brothers, Major General Gary Eichhorn, USAF (RET) of Stuart, FL (Deceased) and Major Adrian Eichhorn, US Army (RET) of Frankenmuth, MI (Deceased). He had 5 nephews, Steve White, Jeff White, Leonard Eichhorn and, Larry Eichhorn. He had one niece, Lisa Inguanti.

A funeral was held at St. John’s Lutheran Church on Saturday November 15th and an inurnment will be held later at Floral Gardens Cemetery.
