Anita C. Mueller

Anita passed away Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Bay Field Assisted Living with her family by her side at the age of 75. She was born in Pigeon, Michigan on December 21, 1947 to the late Arthur and Dorothy (Gaeth) Rook. Anita was a devoted member of Faith Lutheran church where she was a member of the welcome committee, a member of the parish service guild, a member of the church choir a member of other committees and taught Sunday School. She enjoyed writing letters, sending cards and spending time with her family.

Anita is survived by her husband of 31 years, Gordon Mueller; daughter, Julie (Edward) Thornton; granddaughter, Sophia Thornton; step-children, Timothy (Jodi) Mueller, Connie (Rick) Schalk, Karen (James) Balwinski, Julie Mueller, Jason Mueller, David Mueller, Peter Mueller, Ted Mueller and Rachel (Rick) Hernandez; brother, Douglas (Patricia) Rook; sister, Elyse Rook; sisters-in-law, Donna Mueller, Marlene Mueller and many other step grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Anita is preceded in death by her step-children, Toby Mueller and Steven Mueller.

The family would like to thank the staff at Bayfield Assisted Living for the extraordinary care and compassion they provided Anita.

Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. Steven Thiel with private burial taking place later. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home and on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Faith Lutheran Church.
