Anna (Fiebke) LaForge Bay City, Michigan Anna (Fiebke) La Forge a lifelong resident of Bay City passed away peacefully June 8, 2017 at Close to Home Assisted Living. The daughter of Carl and Florence Fiebke was born August 6, 1916 and was the youngest of eight. Survived by her children, Joanne and Nick Kaczmarek of Auburn, Judy and Greg Marks of Ann Arbor, Jackie and George Whiteman of Birch Run, Jan and Dale Bargeron of Clarkston, Jerri and Roy Heiter of Ann Arbor; grandmother of 13; great grandmother of 29; great great grandmother of 5. Preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Roy E. La Forge. Since his death in 1975 she would fend for herself and help her family in so many ways. Also preceded in death by her loving daughter, Joyce Petrimoulx and son-in-law, Dennis Petrimoulx, grandson, Kurt Schaffer. Anna had a wit and sense of humor that prevailed. She led a long active life celebrating her 100th birthday last year with family and friends. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and was the best euchre player in the family. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Monday, June 12, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Parish-St. Maria Goretti Church 2872 N. Euclid Ave., Bay City, MI 48706. The celebrant will be Rev. John S. Sarge with the Rite of Committal following at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will be present at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Sunday to receive family and friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place Sunday at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Anna will be taken to the church on Monday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider donations to the donor's favorite charity.
