April Lin Westerdahl

April Lin Westerdahl, age 57, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 1, 2023 with her daughter Megan by her side. She was born April 4, 1965 in Bay City, Michigan, to the late Carol (Miller) and Russell Jacobs.
April went on in life to have two beautiful children, Jessica and Branden, before marrying her husband, Jon, in 1991. With this marriage, April gained a bonus son, Jared, and had another beautiful daughter, Megan.
A wearer of many hats master of none, April loved her family, cooking like she was feeding an army, working on derby cars, softball, hunting, bowling and so much more. She will be remembered for her stubborn personality, but more so her love for her family and her willingness to help whomever she could whenever she could.

April is survived by her husband, Jon Westerdahl; her children, Jessica (Tommy) Dietzel, Branden (Amanda) Jacobs and Megan (Andy) Westerdahl; her eight grandchildren, Paige (Jacob), Kadin, David, Hailey, Kyle, Izaya, Kennen and Natalie as well as two bonus grandchildren, Ethan and Austin. April also leaves behind five great-grandchildren, Carter, Benjamin, Addison, Owen and Judith; a loving sister, Cindy (Thomas) Schultz; a brother Russell "Buddy" Jacobs Jr; an aunt, Linda (Chet) Schultz; cousins, Kelly Jacobs and Joe and Jeff Schultz; nieces, Kristy and Stephany and a nephew, Thomas "TJ". She was preceded in death by her mother, Carol Miller; bonus son, Jared Westerdahl; brother, Joseph Jacobs and second cousin, Jennifer "JJ" Szczepanski.

A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Gephart Funeral Home (201 W. Midland St., Bay City, MI 48706) from 12:00 to 7:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the wishes of the family.
