Our loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away early Sunday morning April 17, 2016 at Niche Aging Center in Bay City. Age 94 years. The daughter of the late John and Anna (Brush) Anderson was born on August 10, 1921 in Saginaw, Michigan. Ardath was a member of the Women of the Moose # 367, she enjoyed traveling, fishing and most of all she cherished the time she spent with her family. Left behind to cherish her memories are one daughter; Judy LaRose, one son and one daughter-in-law; Larry and Betty Gilles, her grandchildren; Kimberly (Ronald) Goss, Pamela (Richard Keyser) Vaerten, Tracy (Scott Parker) Koch, Rebecca (Larry) Peters, Matthew (Wendy Rau) Gilles and her great grandchildren; Leiah Goss and Payten and Raegan Koch, Brendan, Nicklas and Addison Peters and Kingston Gilles, a special niece; Carol (Chuck) Kearly and many other relatives and friends . She was preceded in death by her husband Conrad Gilles, two sisters; Anna Brown and Ethel Muehlenbeck and two brothers; John Anderson and Jack Anderson. The Gilles family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Niche and McLaren Hospice for the kind and compassionate care they extended to Ardath during the time they cared for her. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Parish - St. Mary's Church. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Patrick N. Jankowiak with the Rite of Committal following in St. Patrick's Cemetery. The Family will be present at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday to receive visitors from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Members of the Women of the Moose will conduct a Memorial Service at 7:00 p.m. followed by the Vigil for the Deceased. Mrs. Gilles will be taken to the church on Thursday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a memorial to "The Wishes of the Family.
