Arthur Bruce Benjamin Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on June 5, 2025, at the Bay Shores Nursing Care Center. He was born on July 17, 1945, in Rochester, Michigan, and lived a life rich in family, service, and passion.
Arthur dedicated over 30 years of his life to working as a truck driver, a profession that suited his adventurous spirit and love for the open road. A proud veteran of the United States Navy, he upheld the values of service and dedication throughout his life.
A graduate of Bay City Central, class of 1964, Arthur approached life with a great sense of humor, endearing himself to all who had the privilege of knowing him. He enjoyed various hobbies that included hunting and riding his Harley's and dirt bikes, reveling in the thrill of outdoor adventures. However, his greatest joy came from spending time with those he loved.
Arthur is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Lorraine Benjamin; their children, Arthur (Kelle) Benjamin Jr., Mark Benjamin, and Lynda (Mike) Dutton; as well as his cherished grandchildren, Brittney (Zach) Monroe, Kaitlynn Smith, Trinity Nail, Austin Nail, Jarod Benjamin, Peter Benjamin, Jessy (Travis) Rasmussen, and Haillie Benjamin. He is also survived by his step-grandchildren, Juston Darafrine, Ashley (Marc) Leaman, Corey (Kori) Dutton, and Brandon (Courtney) Dutton; alongside his great-grandchildren, Ayden, Owen, Ella, Carson, Addison, Zoey, Grayson, Zoey, Rebecca, Lincoln, Gavin, Ethan, Emma, Brynlee, and Maeve.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bruce and Carol (Travis) Benjamin, and his mother and father-in-law, Elena and Vito DiFilippo.
At the request of Arthur, Cremation has taken place and an inurnment will take place at Oak Ridge Cemetery at a later date.
