August "Gus" F. Rudnick Jr.

Mr. Rudnick passed away on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at Brian's House at the age of 90. The son of the late August and Ann (Kasprzyk) Rudnick was born December 3, 1930 in Bay City, Michigan. Gus was a member of St. Gabriel Parish and was retired from Dow Corning. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, working on cars, especially his 1971 Chevy truck, camping and ice fishing. Gus was a wonderful man who had a big smile and always made people laugh.
Gus is survived by his wife, Mary (Mason) Rudnick whom he married on September 18, 1999; five children, Craig Rudnick, Marlo Rudnick-Yates, Kimberly (Rick) Valleau, Thomas M. Dion and Rebecca Wagner; six grandchildren, Andrew Rudnick, Rebekah (Ben) Penzien, Michael Rudnick, Vanessa (Daniel) Hunter, Victoria (Blake) Medlin and Jessie (Stevo) Deja-Phillips; seven great grandchildren, Ember Penzien, Krue Penzien, Seth Demary, Wade Hunter, Brooks Medlin and Aaron and Maxim Deja-Phillips; one brother, James (Betty) Rudnick and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Alice Dunham and Dorothy LeVasseuer.
A memorial Liturgy will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at St. Gabriel Parish - St. Joseph Site. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Thomas E. Sutton with private entombment following in St. Patrick Mausoleum. Friends may visit at the church on Thursday, April 15, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of Mass. Memorials for Brian's House or St. Gabriel Parish will be available at the church. www.gephartfuneralhome.com
