Beatrice L. Beecher

Beatrice passed away Friday, May 7, 2021 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 90. She was born in Bay City on July 19, 1930 to the late Benjamin and Elvy (Garrow) Wells. Beatrice graduated from St. James Catholic High School in 1948. She married the love of her life George R. Beecher on June 24, 1948 and he preceded her in death on January 2, 2000 after 51 years of marriage. Beatrice was a member of All Saints Parish - St. James Church for many years. She was a member of the Moose Lodge, F.O.E. Aries 1010 and Past Senior Regeant. In her spare time, she enjoyed music, dancing, traveling and was in the organ club.
Beatrice is survived by her daughters, Diane Sackarow, Susan Klopf, Linda Gentle and Peggy Pockrandt; grandchildren, Chris, Scott, Stephanie, Samantha, Jeremy, Jamie, Kelli, Michelle, Jason and Matthew; great grandchildren, Brydi, Dalton, Josalyn, Cora, Lenox, Laiken, Cannon, Mia, Chloe and Emerson and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her sons-in-law, Gerry Klopf, Dean Pockrandt, Elliott Sackarow and Joseph Gentle; brothers, Joseph Wells and Louis Wells; sisters, Mary LaPan and Lucille Black.
Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Fr. Robert J. Kelm with interment following in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Friends may visit at the Gephart Funeral Home on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. We are currently still under the governor's executive order of social distancing and limited to 25 visitors in the chapel at one time.
