Bert Roy Willis

Bert peacefully passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Country Square Adult Foster Care at the age of 95 years. Bert was born in Omer, Michigan to the late Bert and Esther (Lehman) Willis. He and Pearl were married in 1945 and she passed away in 1996. Bert served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He worked and retired from General Motors (Bay City Chevrolet) as a machine repair man. In his spare time he enjoyed working on cars.
Bert is survived by his daughter, Carole (John) Baillargeon; grandchildren, Michelle Baillargeon, Mark (Don) Baillargeon, Heidi (Doug) Gerard and Robert Jr. (Meghan) Willis; great grandchildren, Chloe Hampton, Tyler and Brady Gerard and Jack and Max Willis; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by his son, Robert Willis; granddaughter, Dawn Willis; brother, Ralph "Dutch" Willis and sister, Ella Mae Kennedy.
Per Bert's wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will take place at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday, December 7, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to make a memorial contribution to the Good Samaritan Rescue Mission.
