Betty J. Gellise

Betty passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at Charter Senior Living of Bay City with her family by her side at the age of 95. She was born September 21, 1928 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Leo and Jane (Tasash) Spegel. Betty was an avid gardener and enjoyed puzzles.

Betty is survived by her four children, Gary (Annette) Gellise, Richard (Cheryl) Gellise, Norma (Rob) Trudell and Ann (James) Rivard; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Warren) Donahue, Adreanne (Ryan) Budzinski, Katie (Derek) Fitzgerald, James Greenleaf Jr., Alicia (Mark) Horton and Zachary (Nicole) Rivard; nine great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Norman Gellise.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Charter Senior Living and to American’s Hospice for the care they provided Betty.

A Graveside Service will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, October 6, 2023 at Floral Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be considered to wishes of the family.
