Betty L. Shook

Our loving mother and grandmother Betty, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 95. The daughter of the late Eugene and Alice (Beauchler) Cygan was born February 25, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan. Betty was a devoted housewife and had a great willingness to always help anyone in need.

Betty is survived by her son, Tim (Kathy) Shook of Braunfels, TX; daughter, Alice Shook of Bay City; two grandchildren, Tom Shook of Boerne, TX and Michelle Shook of Allen, TX; two great grandchildren, Timmy and Richie Shook of Kerrville, TX; four great great grandchildren; one brother, Rick Sarnowski of Bay City; one sister, Carol (Mike) Warwin of Jacksonville, FL; many nieces and nephews and members of the Shook, Cygan, Sarnowski, Lemke, Weiland and Beauchler families. Betty was predeceased by her husband, William “Bill” Shook; mother, Alice Sarnowski; brothers, Gene Cygan, Jerry Sarnowski and her sister, Lorainne Cygan.

At the request of Betty cremation has taken place and no services are being planned at the Gephart Funeral Home. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the wishes of the family.
