Bonnie passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Bay Valley House, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 86.
Born in Bay City, Michigan, on July 4, 1940, Bonnie was the daughter of the late Arthur and Alice Sauers. She graduated from T.L. Handy High School and went on to enjoy a successful career as a terminal distributor for AMOCO, where she worked for many years.
Bonnie was deeply committed to serving her community. She was an active member of the American Business Women's Association, served as vice president of ARC, and dedicated countless hours to organizing a bowling league for children on the autism spectrum. She found great joy in cross-stitching, bowling, cheering on the Detroit Tigers, and, above all, spending cherished time with her family.
Bonnie leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband of 67 years, Maurice LeFave; her daughters, Theresa (Mike) Podojak and Bethany (Jeff) Jacobsen; her daughter-in-law, Christiana Hartman; her grandchildren, Amber Podojak, Charles Daliege, Zoe Daliege, Nicole Hartman, and Andrea Hartman; and her great-grandson, Benjamin Hartman.
In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her beloved son, Michael LeFave, and her brothers, Ronald Sauers, Kenneth Sauers, and Robert Sauers.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 13, 2026, at Gephart Funeral Home. Friends and family are invited to visit on Sunday, July 12, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home, and again on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
