Carol Jean Fry

Carol passed away Thursday, November 11, 2021 at her home with her family by her side at the age of 73. She was born July 30, 1948 to Leonard and Betty (Opperman) Russell in Fostoria, Ohio. Carol was a member of Grace United Methodist Church since the inception. Carol enjoyed crocheting, reading and spending time with her family.

Carol is survived by her two children, Charles (Leslie) Fry and Tamara Fry; mother, Betty Opperman; five grandchildren, Gary Adamczyk, Allie Bouchard, Hunter Fry, Jaylyn Fry, and Autumn Fry; great grandchild, Hannah Grace; three brothers, Charles (Joyce) Russell, David Russell, Kevin (Vida) Opp; step-mother, Judy Russell; step-sisters, Sandra Mulman, Patrice Bailey; three Step-siblings, Robert Russell, Tina (Lloyd) Smith, Karen (Mark) Dunn and many nieces and nephews. Carol is preceded in death by her father, Leonard Russell; step-fathers, Emmett Duke Opp and Anthony LaPyrne; two sisters, Beverly Combs and Cindy Villareal.

At the request of Carol Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will take place on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Grace Church-West Campus at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be Pastor Eric Kieb. Friends may visit with the family at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. At the request of the family please do not send flowers instead please make contributions to Grace Church-West Campus.
