Chester Emil Pawloski "Chet"

Chet passed away peacefully Tuesday night, October 25, 2022 at the age of 91, at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born on July 20, 1931 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Boniface and Pauline (Piesik) Pawloski. Chet was a very active member of Our Lady of Peace Parish and enjoyed singing in the choir. He served his country as an airplane mechanic in the Air Force and then worked as a Chemist for Dow Chemical, retiring with over 100 patents. He enjoyed fishing with his family, playing cards and senior community center activities with his wife, Millie. He was a history buff and loved learning new things. Chet enjoyed a full life spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Chet is survived by his wife of 68 years, Mildred (Clifford) Pawloski, whom he married on May 15, 1954; children, Mary Pawloski, James (Kathryn) Pawloski, Joan (Sam) Metropoulos and James Mullen (Kim); grandchildren, James (Sherrie) Mullen, Christopher Mullen, Jenny Mullen (Chad Gotham), Kristina (Christopher) Vargo, Tina (Kristian) Metropoulos-Koller, Pete (Sarah) Metropoulos, Stefan (Candelaria) Metropoulos, Andrew (Allison) Pawloski and Renée (Patrick) Valant; great-grandchildren, Colton, Jamison, Josanna, Eliana, Alex, Ethan, Adelia, Hannah, Sebastian and Gabriel; sister, Patricia Sinicki; family friends, Sally Roby and Ernie Klann and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Karen Mullen; brother, Norman Pawloski and sisters, Marie Parish and Dorothy Pawlak.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to family and friends for their love, support, and help during this difficult time.
Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Parish with interment to follow at Floral Gardens Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Fr. John Sarge. The family will be present to receive visitors on Friday, October 28, 2022 at the Gephart Funeral Home from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Peace Parish or the Wishes of the Family.
