Christopher Troy, 56, of Oscoda Michigan, died peacefully at McLaren Hospital, Bay City Michigan on March 16, 2023 after a courageous battle with kidney and lung cancer.
Born in Yonkers, NY son of Arthur Troy, Mikado MI and Barbara (Focht) Troy, Woodbury CT. He graduated from Oscoda High School, Oscoda Michigan, where he was involved in football and Boy scouts, achieving Eagle Scout status. He graduated from MTA Truck driving school, Elizabethtown PA, and was a commercial Tractor Trailer and Bus driver for over 20 years. He was a member of Holy Infant Church, Manchester, PA and 3rd degree with Knights of Columbus. He was a member of Sons of the American Legion Mikado, MI. Chris was a loving husband; father, brother, uncle, and friend. He loved camping, hunting, fishing, motorcycling, and being outdoors.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years Mary Fran (LaRosa) Troy; son, Andrew Troy; Dog, Penelope, and Cat, Trapper. He is also survived by his mother, Barbara Troy; father, Arthur Troy; step-mom Georgette; brother, Rob Troy; sister, Erin Ferraro; brother-in-law, Anthony Ferraro; step-sister, Randy McGaw; nieces, Julie Troy and Rebecca Funk; great nephews, Ian and Christopher; step-nieces, Rachael, Bethany, Mary and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Troy and step-brother, James McGaw.
In honoring Chris’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal memorial service will be held at this time.
