Clayton D. Everson

Clayton passed away Monday, May 1, 2017 at the Carriage House of Bay City. Age 91 years. The son of the late Roland and Mae (Peterson) Everson was born March 1, 1926 in Bay City, Michigan. Clayton was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish-St. Mary's Church. He retired from Delta College as an electrician. Clayton enjoyed building tall model ships and airplanes and also enjoyed working out in his garage. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during W.W. II. Left to cherish his memories are his children, Tom Everson, Lynette (Mark) Maul, Pam (Peter) Schuster and Trisha (Patrick) Hadley; his grandchildren, Angela (Eric) Harris, Jeffrey Maul, Bethany and Andrew Schuster; his great grandchildren, Daniel Gillman, Benjamin Harris and Hunter. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife Ruby A. (Starkweather) Everson; his sisters and brothers, Cleora, Unice, Rita, Hilmer, Jerry and Thelma. A Memorial liturgy will take place Friday, May5, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. At Our Lady of Peace Parish-St. Mary's Church. The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Patrick Jankowiak with inurnment in Calvary Cemetery followed by Military Honors' conducted by the Bay County Veterans Council. The family will be present at the church to receive family and friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
