Clinton E. Bublitz, of Bay City, passed away early Friday morning November 4, 2011 at Brian's House, age 80. The son of the late Walter A. & Arlene L. (Rau) Bublitz, he was born March 13, 1931 in Saginaw. Clinton served with the U.S. Air Force. He was retired from Saginaw Steering Gear. Clinton was an active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and he was also a member of the United Commercial Travelers. He enjoyed spending time at the family cabin and hunting and fishing. On July 16, 1955 Clinton married the former Gloria M. Reimer and she survives him along with their two children, Terri Lynn (Terry) Baney of Kawkawlin and Randall (Helen) Bublitz of St. James, NY; three grandchildren, Maxwell Bublitz and Erica Bublitz both of St. James, NY and Ashley (Karl) Minnich of Grand Rapids; two great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Cyan; a brother-in-law, Frank (Laura) Reimer of Dix Hills, NY; and two nieces, Donna (Al) Pignataro and Jodi (Pascal) Lamarie. Besides his parents, Clinton was also preceded in death by his step-brother, Don Bublitz. The funeral service will take place at 11:00am on Monday November 7, 2011 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 103 E. Midland St. Officiating will be Rev. Matthew Schramm with interment following in Floral Gardens Cemetery along with Military Honors conducted by the Bay County Veterans Council. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 & 7:00 to 9:00pm. Mr. Bublitz will lie instate at the church on Monday from 10:00am until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church or to the wishes of the family.
