Colleen Sue Laskey

Colleen passed away Thursday, January 5, 2023 at her residence at the age of 58 years. Colleen fought her battle with MS for 24 years and never let it affect her. She continued to smile and enjoy her time with her family and friends. She was born in Bay City on December 29, 1964 to Thomas and Diane (Hadd) Zielinski. She married Bruce Laskey on October 5, 1985 in Bay City and they were married for 37 years. Colleen had a passion for life and lived everyday for her children and grandchildren. Colleen was always very involved with her boys' events and never missed them. In her spare time, she enjoyed exercising, cleaning the house, camping and sitting by the lake with her wine coolers.
Colleen is survived by her husband, Bruce; sons, Justin (Matt Taillon) Laskey, Joshua Laskey and Jeremy (Mya Lyons) Laskey; grandchildren, Olivia Laskey and Kaiden Laskey; her dog and companion, Gabby; father and mother, Thomas and Diane Zielinski; brother, Thomas Zielinski Jr.; sisters, Terri Bromberg and Shelley (TD) Duncan; sister-in-law, Jean (John) Landosky; brother-in-law, Scott (Sue) Laskey and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Fred and Patricia Laskey.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of the caregivers that Colleen had, especially Evelyn and Melissa for the care, compassion and love that they gave to Colleen.
