David passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at the Carriage House Nursing Home at the age of 84. He was born to the late David and Clara (Hubbard) Clements on April 6, 1942 in Pinconning, Michigan. He was a proud United States Veteran. He worked his way up at General Motors to be the lead of quality control before he retired. He had a deep passion for his Harley Motorcycle and enjoyed listening to music. He and his wife, Sue, rescued and raised many greyhound dogs together.
David is survived by his wife of 38 years, Susan (Reif) Clements; son, David (Melanie) Clements III; daughter, Michelle (Jamie) Kelly; grandson, Devan (Megan) Clements; godson, Joshua Kara; siblings, Jim (June) Clements, Jacky McGill, Mary Schwerin, Barb Sullivan and Kathy Clements and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Gene Clements, Bill (Kay) Clements, Bonnie (Clair) Myers and Tammy Clements.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff at the Carriage House, especially supervisor, Vivian, nurses’ assistant, Anna and nurses, Christine, Robin and Sarah. They would also like to thank Swan Hospice, especially nurse, Andrea and the nurse’s aide, Melanie. They would also like to say a very special thank you to Debi, for all of her care and support throughout this difficult time.
Memorial service for David will be taking place on Monday, September 21, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. at Gephart Funeral Home. The family will be present to receive visitors on Monday at the Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wishes of the Family.
