Dan Lee Scheuerlein

Dan passed away on Friday, October 3, 2025, at the age of 74. The son of the late Floyd and Hilma (Herbolsheimer) Scheuerlein was born on October 17, 1950, in Bay City, Michigan.

Dan was a loving husband, devoted father, and caring friend who rarely went anywhere without running into someone he knew. He loved spending time with family and friends, enjoyed traveling with his wife, Mary Beth, and was a proud Papa to his granddaughter, Clementine. Dan worked in the automotive industry for over 50 years before retiring proudly from Auto-Wares in 2017. He was the 2024 recipient of the MAPA Lifetime Achievement Award. A lifelong athlete, Dan was a state champion softball player and a member of the Bay County Sports Hall of Fame. He was an avid golfer and accomplished bowler who also enjoyed hunting. 

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary Beth, and two daughters: Bethany Scheuerlein and her daughter, Clementine, and Sara Martin and her husband, Travis; as well as his brother, Don Scheuerlein, and wife, Amy. 

At Dan’s request, cremation has taken place. No memorial services are being planned at this time. However, those who wish to express sympathy may consider making a memorial contribution to a charity of their choice in his honor.
