David Demler

Mr. David Demler, of Bay City, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday morning, September 2, 2016 at Country Square A.F.C. in Auburn, age 93. The son of the late Philip and Dorthea (Zubick) Demler, he was born on May 18, 1923 in Clifford, Michigan. David was a member of Bethel Ev. Lutheran Church. He was a great worker and did general maintenance for many people. David had a fantastic memory and was fluent in German. Most of all he was a good Christian man and he could recite nearly any Bible verse or hymn.
David is survived by his many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, David was also preceded in death by his three sisters, Anna (Jack) Tuttle, Mary (Lud) Johnson and Molly (Jack) Lind; and two brothers, Henry (Marie) Demler and Jacob Demler.
David's family is grateful to everyone at Country Square A.F.C. They were truly an extended family to David and took exceptional care of him.
The Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Mark Luetzow and interment will follow at Green Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
