David W. Rabidoux

David William Rabidoux passed away peacefully with his family by his side at his home after a short battle with cancer. He was born to the late William and Virginia (Johnroe) Rabidoux on December 7, 1948. He was a lifelong resident of Bay City and graduated from T.L. Handy High School in 1967. He proudly served in the U. S Army during the Vietnam War from 1968-1970. Dave dedicated much of his professional life to working as a sales representative for many different companies, and finally retiring from Swedish Match. Following his retirement he and Cyndy enjoyed spending time in South Carolina and Florida as well as attending many concerts. Dave was an avid golfer, enjoyed playing cards, and loved a good debate, but he was most passionate about his family.

On August 25, 1978 he married Cynthia (Arneson) at Messiah Lutheran Church. Together they raised their three children, Shawn Fry, Jessica (Matthew) Heintskill and Whitney (Todd) Gall. David was also a devoted grandfather to eight incredible grandchildren of whom he loved dearly and often bragged about; Zander, Luke, Claire, Evangeline Gall, Hayden, Maxton, Beckett Heintskill, and Rowan Fry. In addition to his wife and family he is survived by his siblings Paul Rabidoux, Dennis Rabidoux (Sandra), Karlene Rabidoux, Marcia (Larry) Rice, as well as his In-laws Kathy (Chris) Elzinga, Brenda Arneson, Royal Goulette and Al Eyre. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Janice Eyre; mother and father-in-law, Shirley and Bruce Arneson; and his sister-in-laws Sally Goulette and Mary Lou Rabidoux.

At the request of David, Cremation has taken place and a service to honor David’s life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Gephart Funeral Home with Military Honors following.
