Delmar M. "Del" Lutz

Mr. Lutz passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024 at Select Specialty Hospital at the age of 83. The son of the late Oscar and Sophia (Roth) Lutz was born May 18, 1940 in Bay City, Michigan. Del was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Frankenlust, he graduated from T.L. Handy High School in 1958 and enjoyed playing euchre, listening to music, camping and watching NASCAR and the Detroit Tigers and Lions.

Del is survived by his children, Deb (Domingo) Autran, Michael (Michelle) Lutz and Lori Rugenstein (Roger Nickel); grandchildren, Briana Autran, Jason (Marissa) Pressler, Brandon Autran (Frankie), Nicholas Pressler, Devin (Jacalyn) Rugenstein and Aubrie Rugenstein; great grandchildren, Piersyn, Leland, Lainey, Lilly and Rocky; two sisters, Lou (Richard) Feinauer and Mary (Allen) Revord and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Barbara E. Lutz, whom he married on June 17, 1961 and his brothers and sisters, Junior (Betty) Lutz, Vernetta (Howard) Weiss, Ben Lutz, Gerald Lutz, Elden Lutz and Dorraine Lutz.

Funeral and Committal services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Frankenlust. Officiating will be Pastor Dennis Matyas with private interment following at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Friday, February 2, 2024 at the Gephart Funeral Home from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Paul Lutheran Church of Frankenlust will be available at the funeral home.
