Delphine Ann Ribeaud, a beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home on May 13, 2025, at the age of 86 surrounded by loved ones.
She was born on November 13, 1938, in Bay City, Michigan, where she spent her formative years. She carried the values of her parents, living a life filled with compassion and generosity.
Delphine was a graduate of Saginaw Valley State University, and completed post graduate work at Central Michigan University, a testament to her dedication to education and lifelong learning. She was a devoted Social Worker (Intake Officer) for 30 years at the Juvenile Probate Court in Bay County. In her later years she enjoyed volunteering at Brian’s House making homemade cookies for the residents and staff.
Throughout her life, she cherished family and friends, and her greatest joy came from spending time with her loved ones. She enjoyed yoga, being outside by the pool and outdoor adventures especially walking in the marsh. She loved cats, her most recent one was Duchess who lived for 18 years.
Delphine is survived by her two daughters, Christina (Toby) Conrad-Tabaczynski and Sharon Conrad and one adopted son, Louis Franz Conrad. She was a proud grandmother to six other grandchildren: Andrew John (Misha) Tabaczynski, Steven Anthony Tabaczynski, Christopher Michael Tabaczynski, Chadwick Enser Rott,(deceased), Kendra Marie Hamilton, and Keyona Hamilton.
Her life was a true testament to the power of love, faith, and the human spirit. She was a woman of strength facing her illness with determination and courage.
Dolly (as her friends affectionally called her) will be deeply missed, but her legacy will continue to shine brightly for those who were fortunate enough to have known her. May she rest in peace.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alphonse and Frances (Gwizdala) Janowicz, her sister Bernadette (Jim) Steffke and her husband Louis Franz Ribeaud.
A memorial Mass to celebrate her life will be on June 16th, 11am at St. Boniface Catholic Church. For those wishing to express condolences of sympathy are asked to consider Brian’s House in Bay City or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
