Dhana D. Shrestha, M.D.

Dhana D. Shrestha, M.D., of Bay City, passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at McLaren Bay Region, age 62, after a long illness. The son of the late Babu Kaji Shrestha and Dil Maya Shrestha, Dr. Shrestha was born December 16, 1949 in Bhaktapur, Nepal. He came to Bay City and opened his medical practice in 1978. Dr. Shrestha was a former Chief of Staff of Bay Medical Center and was also the Medical Director of Bay Shores Nursing Home. He was a member of the American Medical Association. On April 21, 1979 Dr. Shrestha married the former Patricia A. Wood and she survives him along with their four daughters, Aileen, Kiran, Tara & Caitlin; his grandson, Tory; and many brothers, sisters, nieces & nephews. Dr. Shrestha's family would like to express their sincere thanks to his office staff and his colleagues, Dr.'s Ahmed, Kamaraju, Arekapudi and Hurt, also to Dr. Abramson and colleagues at McLaren Bay Region. Also to the McLaren chemotherapy staff on 5West and the nursing staff on 3East, and to all of his many friends and patients for their care and support.
