Diane Louise Pond

Diane passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at Toni and Trish House at the age of 81. She was born to the late William and Gladys (Wallace) Auger on February 23, 1945 in Bay City. Diane worked as a EEG and EKG technician, working at Samaritan Hospital, Bay Osteopathic and St. Mary’s Medical Center where she retired in 2000. Diane loved people and always had a ready open smile for anyone she met. She enjoyed traveling with her husband on their Goldwing motorcycle, putting many miles on it together, as members of the Goldwing Club. Diane also enjoyed sewing in her spare time and volunteering at St. Vincent De Paul Thrift Sote and Food Pantry, and was also a Eucharistic Minister at Corpus Christi Catholic Church.

Diane is survived by her husband of 60 years, Leonard Pond, whom she married on August 21, 1965 at St. Mary’s Church in Bay City by Fr. Joseph Miller. She is also survived by her son, Andrew Pond (Brenda Boaz-Pond) of Old Hickory, Tennessee; brother, Bill (Dawn) Auger; brother-in-law, Gerald Pond (Tammy Guillory) and nephew, John (Stephanie) Auger and their family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Heidi Pond; twin brother, David (Donna) Auger; mother-in-law, Geraldine Kayden. She will be dearly missed by all, including close family friends, Cindy Gasta and Kay Peck.

The family will be present to receive visitors on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at Gephart Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Funeral service for Diane will take place on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at Gephart Funeral Home. A private interment and committal service will be held at a later date at Oak Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Golden Horizons Adult Day Center or Toni and Trish House.
