Diane J. Raschke

Diane June Raschke, 78, passed away at Covenant Harrison Hospital. She was born in Bay City, Michigan on March 27, 1942 to the late Lewis Nelson Rabadue and Eleanor June (Rowell) Ballard.
She was preceded in death by her best friend and loving husband of 61 years, Edward Clarence Raschke. They shared four children, Grant Raschke, Tonya Raschke, Seena (Raschke) Webster, Sherry (Raschke) Goodman; grandchildren, Tiffany, Kendall, Edward, Elizabeth, Amanda, David, Roxanne, Teara, Aaron, Alyssa and Giavonnah; numerous great grandchildren; late grandmother Josephine Alphonsine (Grand) Rowell; brother, Ronald Rabadue, Larry Rowell and Sister, Mary Ballard.
Diane was a devoted Catholic, a loving wife, a much loved mother, and an amazing grandmother. Her grandchildren often referred to her as "Boss lady". She ruled the palace, and had a tenacious inner strength, a mindset that "you can never fail as long as you try".
She was a homemaker with many hobbies and was an extremely talented woman. She cooked and baked everything completely homemade, she made the best frybread. Her family particularly loved her goulash, lasagna, soups, Chinese fried noodles and crazy cake. She made beautiful Indian baskets and jewelry. She enjoyed crafting, sewing, painting and dancing to Elvis Pressley and Freddie Fender.
She was very passionate about red roses, cardinals and Halloween, which has passed on with each generation. She loved all the natural beauty and wildlife found in Michigan. Her family will greatly miss hearing about all her adventures traveling around Michigan with her late husband Ed Raschke. So many great memories, so much love, never a day she won't be missed.
Funeral Service will take place on Friday, January 29, 2021 at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Jane Grzegorczyk with interment to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will be present from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the Funeral Home. Flowers appreciated. Donations to the A.R.K./Associations to Rescue Kritters in St. Helen, Michigan.
