Dolores (Oswald) Appold

Dolores passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at the Carriage House in Bay City at the age of 92. She was born on February 3, 1930 to the late Adam and Alma (Schmidt) Oswald in Bay City, Michigan. Dolores was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Frankenlust. She also enjoyed painting pictures and greeting cards.
Dolores is survived by her husband, Erhardt Appold, whom she married on April 14, 1951 and they've spent over 70 wonderful years together. She is also survived by her children, David (Sandra) Appold, Cindy (David Rhodes) Rauschert and Melissa (Tom) Appold; grandchildren, Mike Appold, Amy Appold, Laura (John) Janson, Eric (Molly) Rauschert, Jessica (Nicholas) Shokoohi, Andrew (Heather) Appold and Rachel Appold; great grandchildren, Tyler Appold, Jackson Rauschert and Benny Rauschert; Sister-in-law, Verna (Larry) Rosenberg and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings; Erwin (Phyllis) Oswald and Marwood (Betty) Oswald; sister-in-law, Alice (Jack) Lillo and son-in-law, Rick Rauschert.
Funeral service will take place on Monday, March 14, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home with internment to follow at Fremont Cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor Dennis W. Matyas. The family will be present to receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
