Donald C. Fleming

Donald Clyde Fleming, age 81, passed away Monday, June 6, 2022 at McLaren Hospital in Bay City, MI.
Donald was born in Farmersville, Illinois on July 24, 1940.  He graduated from TL Handy High School and went on to serve in the U.S. Army.  He retired from the former Bay City Milling.
Donald enjoyed spending time with family, especially his three grandchildren, along with woodworking, gardening, raising dogs, feeding the birds and watching squirrels with his four-legged friend Sara. He was an avid sports and Michigan State fan.  Donald was an inducted member into the Bay County Sports Hall of Fame for Little League Baseball.  He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Bay City.
Donald is survived by the absolute love of his life his wife, Elsie (Sikorski) Fleming of 56 years and their daughters and families; Deborah & Greg Welsch (Ashley) of Midland and Jennifer & Randy Swiecicki (Nadia and Gavin) of Bay City, one sister Marie (Donald) Kielpinski, sister-in-laws Sylvia Fleming, Dixie Fleming, Joan Sauer, one brother-in-law Roy Helminiak and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents George and Rose Fleming, his brothers Tom and Bill Fleming, sister-in-laws Theresa Budnik and Kathleen Helminiak, his in-laws Stanley and Catherine Sikorski, and two nephews Donald and Timothy Fleming.
Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home on Monday, June 13th 2022 from 6-9PM (the family kindly asks you wear a mask). A private family burial service will be held at the cemetery.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Rajesh Dandamudi, Dr. Kochunni K. Mohan and the wonderful ICU nursing staff at McLaren Hospital Wendy, Chrissy and Kim.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Donald's wishes that they may give a contribution to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Humane Society of Bay County.
