Donald H. Hartley

Mr. Hartley passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 63. Donald was born June 26, 1957 in Saginaw, Michigan and served in the U.S. Army. He was well known for his compassionate caring of baby animals, more specifically baby squirrels.
Don is survived by his father, Richard Hartley; four children, Jessica Good, David Hartley, Daniel Hartley and Lauren Hartley; two grandchildren, Maddisen Good and Marshall Reed; two great grandchildren, Davian Hull and Draesen Hull; brothers and sisters, Jean Lynch, Robert Hartley, Debbie (Kevin) Schmidt, Doug (Carol) Hartley and Dennis Hartley; his significant other, Leslie Hempel and many nieces and nephews. Don was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Hartley.
A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 16, 2021 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Charles Campbell. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday from 12:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. We are currently still under the governor's executive order of social distancing and limited to 25 visitors in the chapel at one time. You may experience a wait while paying your respects, face coverings must be worn. Memorial contributions for wishes of the family will be available at the funeral home.
