Donald J. Janowski

Donald passed away Monday, October 7, 2019 at his residence at the age of 84 years. Donald was born on September 8, 1935 in Detroit to the late Joseph and Isabell (Boks) Janowski. He married the former Mary Campbell on September 27, 1958 and were married for 61 years. He was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Church and was employed by General Motors for 35 years and retired in 1992. In his spare time he was an avid golfer and most of all loved his family.
Donald is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Teri (Jim) Smith, Gregg (Karen) and Michael (Vicky) Janowski; grandchildren, Cori (Cori) Himebaugh, Amanda (Jim) Prall, Jonathon and Adam Janowski; great grandchildren, Trenton Smith, Veda Facundo, Emmett Himebaugh, Alexander and Jaycie Prall; brother, Dennis (Joyce) Janowski; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Norm Janowski.
At the request of Donald, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at St. Catherine of Siena Parish. The Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. William Taylor. Friends may visit at the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
