Donalda Joann Meylan "Donna"

Donna passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday morning, September 2, 2023 at the age of 87.

She was the 12th child of Rose and Arthur Petrimoulx born January 22, 1936 in Bay County, MI where she resided her whole life.

She married the love of her life Ron Meylan September 3, 1955 and welcomed their first child
Rene' (Jamie) Woods nine months later.

Ron Jr. (Becky) followed shortly after. The Meylan family looked as it may be completed with 4 members, but then arrived Rod (Teri), Rick (Rachael), Roger (Chris), Rhonda (Brad) in 4 years! With Rob (Tina) arriving 5 years later completing the family.

Donnas’ life was filled with her children and being a helpmate to Ron on the family farm. She delivered many a meals and at times implement parts to various fields. She was book keeper, bill payer and home front manager.

Donna was blessed with 19 grandchildren; Daniel Woods, Tim (Danielle) Gies, Michelle (Marty) Passeggiato, Chad, David, Melanie, Drew, Courtney, Whitney (Josh), Kyle, Jacob, Jessica, Bryce, Robyn and Gage Meylan, Bree and Jade (Amadria) Flores, Jeff Hartman and Jami (DJ) Hauk; 15 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

After Ron's passing, Donna became involved with her community by volunteering at the Bay City State Park and the Community Center in Bay City. She was presented with awards for her work and dedication. In her spare time, Donna had a love/hate relationship with doing jigsaw puzzles and word search puzzles.

Donna was a member of St. Catherine of Sienna and cherished her faith.

Donna is welcomed to her Heavenly home by her parents, Rose and Arthur; husband, Ron and son, Rick. She will also be united with siblings and in laws, Chuck (Diane), Art (Marge), Earl, George, Little Harold, Harold, Jim (Joan), Jerry (Carol) Petrimoulx and Bert (Walt) Richie, Virginia (Dayton) Patterson and Margaret Parent, Bill and Valerie Schmidt, Pete and Betty Arsenault, Larry DeBats and Alan Meylan.

Donna is survived by sisters-in-law, Elaine Petrimoulx, Linda DeBats and Trudy Meylan.

She also leaves behind dear neighbors, Josie, Debbie and Lois and Jamie.

Visitation will be at Gephart Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 from 2:00pm-8:00pm.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 11:00am at St. Catherine of Sienna Parish, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Interment will take place at 2:30pm at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
