Dorothy V. Middleton

Dorothy peacefully passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022 at Bay Shores Nursing Care Center at the age of 97. She was born January 29, 1925 in Armada, Michigan to the late Louis and Veronica (Majszak) Bernacky. She was a devoted member of Holy Trinity Church for over 70 years. Dorothy enjoyed playing cards, bowling, walking and most of all, her greatest accomplishment was being a mother.
Dorothy is survived by her six children, David (Jeri) Middleton, Michael (Debbie) Middleton, Diane (Dana) South, Harold (Sarah) Middleton, Joseph (Ann) Middleton and James Middleton. She had thirteen grandchildren; Michelle, Katie, Tiffany, Shannon, David, Baylee, Brandi, Joseph, Matt, Thomas, Jessica, Brianna and Rachel, and three great grandchildren, Laurel, Zoey and Emerson. In addition to her parents, Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Harold F. Middleton; daughter, Carol Middleton (Tatroe); grandson, Steven Carroll, daughter-in-law, Kim Middleton, and sixteen siblings.
Funeral Mass will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Corpus Christi Parish-Holy Trinity Church. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Bob Byrne with private interment in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home and on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
