Edith passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at the Bickford of Saginaw Assisted Living with her family by her side at the age of 97 years. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 15, 1924, to the late John and Florence (Allen) Gorman. On May 25, 1945, she married Milton O. Winters and he preceded her in death on April 30, 2016, after 70 years of marriage. Edith worked and retired from Monitor Sugar after many years. In her spare time, Edith enjoyed going to the casino, camping, traveling and spending winters in Florida. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family and her friends.
Edith is survived by her children, Randy (Pam) Winters, Linda (Al) Bilhimer and Debbie (Bob) Geno; grandchildren, Jeff (Barb) Winters, Jennifer (Chuck) Powell, Jody (Shawn) Girou, Chad Winters, Brandon (Kristi) Winters, Kyle Winters (Jeri), Jessica (Mike) Weyrowske, Joshua Winters, Janelle (Troy) Wunderlich, Tricia (Steve) Schabel, Carrie Bilhimer (Dave), Kelley (Michael) White, Kim (Steve) Hozeska, Ryan (Stephanie) Geno, Reagan (Jeremy) Bickel and Robert Geno (Sara); many great grandchildren; daughters-in-law, Angela Winters and Gail Winters-Wisniewski; very special sister-in-law, Donna Androl and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her sons, Joe and David Winters; brothers, John and Pat Gorman and sisters, May Cabay, Margaret Kotlewski, Kathleen Hickerson and Ellen Bradley.
Funeral service will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 28, 2022 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Fr. Robert J. Kelm with cremation to take place following the service. Friends may visit at the Gephart Funeral Home on Monday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
