Edward "Ed" Michael Cathcart Jr.

Ed passed away Saturday, March 5, 2022 peacefully at his residence after a long illness at the age of 59 years. He was born in Bay City on December 12, 1962 to Edward and Patricia (Peplinski) Cathcart. Ed was a handyman and enjoyed doing just about anything. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
Ed is survived by his son, Jacob Cathcart (Lacey Maydon); mother, Patricia Cathcart; sister, Linda (Mark) Dombroski; brother, Steven (Christine) Cathcart; nieces and nephews, Thomas (Amber) VanPelt, Bradley (Kristina) VanPelt, Phillip Mercer, Trishia (Mike) Watson and Samantha Cathcart. Ed was preceded in death by his father, Edward Cathcart; sister, Jeanne Marie Cathcart and nephew, Sgt. First Class Michael Cathcart.
Cremation has taken place, memorial service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Deacon Ken Kochany. Friends may visit at the Gephart Funeral Home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Contributions may be made to the wishes of the family.
