Edward Clarence Raschke, 81 years young, passed away December 31, 2020 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. He was born on September 1, 1939 to the late Clarence and Anna Raschke (Fisher). Edward was a loving husband, dedicated father, a man with a heart of gold, and good old fashion values. Who would help anyone with anything. He proudly retired from Bay City GM, with 31 years of employment. He also retired from Brennan Marina. He loved taking his Dogs, Lucky and Midnight for walks. He especially enjoyed traveling Michigan and seeing fall leaf color changes. He loved hunting and fishing, and anything to do with the outdoors and wildlife. He loved to treat his grandchildren to Klondike ice cream sandwiches and faygo soda. He will be greatly missed.
Edward leaves behind his best friend, and the love of his life that he was proudly married to for 61 years, Diane June Raschke (Rabadue); four children, Grant Raschke, Tonya Raschke, Seena Webster (Raschke), and Sherry Goodman (Raschke); grandchildren, Tiffany, Kendall, Edward, Elizabeth, Amanda, David, Roxanne, Teara, Aaron, Alyssa and Giavonnah; numerous great grandchildren; brother, John Raschke; and sisters, Shirley Raschke and Ruth Raschke.
The Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Pastor Dennis Kreil. the family will be present at Gephart Funeral Home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Edward was always rescuing wildlife, in lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the A.R.K./Association to Rescue Kritters in St. Helen, Michigan.
