Edward Francis Trombley

Edward F. Trombley passed away on Wednesday morning, October 4, 2023 with his family by his side. He was born May 28, 1929 to the late Francis and Florence (Dukavic) Trombley. On January 28, 1950, he married the love of his life, Donna Jane Mertz. They celebrated 69 years of marriage before her death on April 30, 2019. Edward owned and operated Trombley Real Estate, was an avid local history buff and had a vast collection of local postcards.

Surviving are his three children and their spouses, David (Carol) Trombley, Nancy (Martin) Adrian and Randall (Julie) Trombley; eight grandchildren, Dr. Michael (Dr. Carmen Meier) Trombley, Michele (Chris) Comer, Daniel (Michele) Trombley, Christine Trombley, Christi (Troy) Birchmeier, Brian (Jamie) Bittner, Ashley (Jacob) Culley and Steven (Colleen) Trombley; 17 great grandchildren, Ian, Max, Russell, Elizabeth, Owen, Adele, Louisa, Molly, Bryce, Paige, Hailey, Trevor, Cayley, Alyssa, Aiden, Cooper and Sydney and one great great grandchild, Violet. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Donna and two grandsons, Nicholas Trombley and Scott Bishop.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at New Hope Bay for their unending support and care that was given to our dad.

Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 9, 2023 at Corpus Christi Parish. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Bob Byrne with entombment taking place in St. Patrick Mausoleum. Visitation will take place at Corpus Christi Parish on Monday, October 9, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. Memorial cards for Corpus Christi Parish will be available at the church.
