Edward Martin Zielinski

Edward passed away peacefully on Friday, February 20, 2026 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 78. He was born on October 1, 1947 in Bay City to the late Robert and Dorothy (Brancheau) Zielinski. He was a sports fanatic and an avid bowler, he even had several 300 games that he was very proud of. He loved fishing, hunting, and planning the annual Zielinski deer camp in the UP. He retired as a manager from Jacks Fruit & Meat Market after 30 years, they all knew him as “EZ” the money man. His grandchildren were the center of his world. He loved each and every one of them so much and enjoyed spending every minute he could with them.

Edward is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (H. Michael) Dwan; son, Edward (Jill) Zielinski; eight grandchildren, Michael, Mitchell, Olivia, Jack and Thomas Dwan and Will, Leo and Owen Zielinski; siblings, Timothy (Sandy) Zielinski, Thomas Zielinski, William Zielinski, Karen Bess and Robert (Julie) Zielinski and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving companion, Tula LaLonde.

In honoring Edwards wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home. The family will be present to receive visitors on Thursday at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wishes of the Family.
