Eileen "Ty" K. Williams

Ty peacefully passed away Thursday, March 2, 2023 at her home with her family by her side at the age of 101. She was born in Bay City, Michigan to the Late Julius and Ottilia (Staudacher) Reutter. Ty proudly served her country in the U.S. Army as Nurse Corp in WWII. She was a lifelong member of Faith Lutheran Church. Ty graduated from Bay City Central in 1939, after high school, she then graduated from Hurley Hospital School of Nursing. She was a former service Women of America, Chapter L.W.M.L, Parish Service Guild, American Legion Post #18, member of the 39ers club and was Foot Loose & Fancy Free who enjoyed traveling the world.

Ty is survived by her son, David T. Williams of Bay City, Michigan; many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Eileen is preceded in death by her husband, Hubert S. Williams (Major U.S. Airforce, served during WWII & Korea); son, Dr. John F. Williams; daughter, Mary K.(James Neale) Williams and sisters, Lucille R. (John) Anderson and Kathryn (Harold) Lentz.

Funeral Service will take place on Monday March 6, 2023 at Faith Lutheran Church at 12:00 p.m. Officiating will be Pastor Gary Bender with Military Honors following. Interment will take place at Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, March 5, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Gephart Funeral Home and on Monday, March 6, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Faith Lutheran Church.
