Elaine M. Huiskens

Huiskens, Elaine M. Bay City, Michigan Our loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully Monday January 23, 2017 at Close To Home Assisted Living. Age 90 years. The daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Janowicz) Marchlewicz was born August 14, 1926 in Bay City and has resided here all of her life. She was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish - St. Stanislaus Church, the Rosary Altar Society and the League of Catholic Women and Men. Left to cherish her memories is one daughter and son-in-law; Susan and James Priem, three grandchildren; Michelle Ratajczak, Todd (Sarah) Priem and Shawn (Kelly) Priem, seven great grandchildren; Camdyn, Caden Ratajczak, Cailyn Lopez, Samantha and Joshua Priem and Noah and Carter Priem. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Huiskens, her brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-law; Delphine and John Laskowski, Eugene Grambowski, Floyd and Marion Marchlewicz, Arthur and Lucille Marchlewicz, Harry and Eleanor Marchlewicz, Alice and Howard Mosher and Edna and Dan McNeil, Maureen and Francis Dunckel and three other brothers-in-laws. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Friday, January 27, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish - St. Stanislaus Church. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Richard M. Filary with a private Rite of Committal in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Mrs. Huiskens will be taken to the church on Friday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a memorial to Southern Care Hospice.
