Elenora D. Verellen

Elenora passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Ascension St. Mary's Standish, Michigan at the age of 94 years. She was born on January 4, 1927 in Bay City to the late Everett and Ella (Ostermann) Wood. On September 23, 1950 she married Louis D. Verellen and they were married for 42 years until his passing on April 26, 1993. Elenora was a member of Visitation Catholic Church and worked and retired as the new account manager at Peoples National Bank. In her spare time she enjoyed bowling, quilting and gardening. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Elenora is survived by her children, Michael "Mick" (Mary Ellen), Thomas (Denise) Verellen and Catherine Puchala; grandchildren, Michael Jason (Courtney) Verellen, Andrea Lynn (Jeremy) Sawyer and Isaac Verellen; great grandchildren, Brody, Benjamin and Blake Verellen; sister, Audrey Jenkins; brother, Fred (Goldie) Wood; many nieces and nephews including, Pam, Martha, Bethany, John and Dawn (Gilbert). In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Arthur and Robert and sister, Kay.
At the request of Elenora cremation has taken place. A service along with a celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Private inurnment will take place in Floral Gardens Cemetery.
