Elizabeth A. Schnell "Betty"

Betty Schnell age 72, of Bay City, Michigan was a loving wife to her late husband Russ Schnell, a wonderfully supportive mother of three, and loving Nana of five grandchildren. She passed away on Wednesday December 7, of 2022.  Betty was enjoying the weather and beloved company at her residence in Apache Junction Arizona at the time of her passing.
Betty was born on March 24 of 1950, to Francis and Lawrence Reuther in Bay City Mi. After Betty graduated from St. James High School in 1968. She continued her schooling studying nursing and receiving her LPN from Mercy School of Nursing in Cadillac and her RN from Delta college in 1974. She went on to thoroughly enjoy a long career as a surgical nurse at Bay Medical Center.
In 1973 Betty met the love of her life, Russell Schnell, at Whites Restaurant in Bay City. Betty and Russ went on to raise three wonderful children, always setting an example for them as to what a truly faithful and loving relationship looked like. Upon her retirement she spent her summers camping and winters were spent heading to Arizona with Russ until he met the Lord in 2017. At that point she continued to travel and share her radiant smile and infectious laughter with friends they had made all over the U.S. and everyone she continued to meet. Always picking things up along the way to spoil her 5 beautiful grandchildren with.
Betty is survived by her sister, Kathy; her daughter, Angela; son-in-law, Tim Prime with children Max and Alex; son, William Schnell; daughter-in-law, Krystle with children Bristal, Brielle and Brailyn and son Russell Schnell.
The funeral liturgy will be held at Corpus Christi Parish on Monday, December 19, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. a private interment will take place at St. Patrick's Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Gephart Funeral Home on Sunday, December 18, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Mrs. Schnell will be taken to the church to lie in state on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the mass.
