Elsa "Jane" Huizar

Our beloved Jane went home to be with her husband and son Thursday night. Jane was born in Vassar, Michigan on October 16, 1934. Jane is a retired RN from Bay Medical Center in Bay City. She was a devoted Catholic, a doting wife, a loving mother, an amazing grandmother and great grandmother, too many. She had many hobbies, including crocheting, cooking, and fishing. 

She is proceeded in death by the love of her life, Edward Huizar who she married on August 27, 1953; and Son James Huizar. She is survived by her daughter Debra Braley (Wilfred Basner) and her two sons Patrick (Rose) and Edward (Cathy). Her Grandchildren, Justin, Gretchen Basner (Skyler), Shawn (Melissa), Heather, Holly, Hope Thomas, Angie Murphy (Ben), Crystal Basner (Brandi) Tyler (Karrie), Mathew, Alicia Clark (Josh), Megan, Edward, Carolyn. Her Great Grandchildren, Rebecca Runberg (David) Anthony Oswald, Rae Loughner, John Thomas, Jenna, Alexis, Noah, Caleb, Ethan, Elliot, Arianna, Hayden, Paisley, Dakota, Haley Jo, Mia, Hector. Her great great grandchildren, Hailey, Elizabeth, Davey, and Rowan. And many nieces and nephews. She may have left us, but her soul lives on through her children and her grandchildren and her great grandchildren and her great great grandchildren every single day. May she rest in peace.

A Memorial Service will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 3, 2025 at Gephart Funeral Home. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, October 3, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be considered to Wishes of the Family.
