Eugenia "Jean" E. Westenburg

Mrs. Westenburg passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family at the age of 96. The daughter of the late Casmier and Clara (Tomczak) Grochowski was born December 11, 1925 in Bay City, Michigan. Mrs. Westenburg retired from Bay Valley as an executive housekeeper, an avid bingo player, member of the F.O.E. Arie 1010 and a member of Messiah Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Westenburg is survived by her children, Richard Sr. (Linda) Westenburg, Gloria Gray, Randy (Carrie) Westenburg, Mike (Carrie) Westenburg and Mark Westenburg; 18 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 18 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Edmund; daughter, Sandra Bradley; two sons, Joseph Westenburg and Robert Westenburg and two brothers, Marion Grochowski and Floyd Grochowski.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Covenant VNA Hospice for their compassion and care that they gave to Mrs. Westenburg.
Funeral service will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Andreas Teich with Committal following at Floral Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 from 12:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home and on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial cards for the wishes of the family will be available at the funeral home.
