Evelene E. Johnson

Evelene passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2018 at Bay Shores Nursing Home at the age of 93 years, Evelene was born on September 24, 1924 in Alpena, Michigan to the late William and Alice (Badder) King. She attended Faith Lutheran Church for many years. In her spare time she enjoyed baking. Family and her grandchildren were the most important things in her life.
Evelene is survived by her children, Brian (Lisa) Johnson and Kerry Pett; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Shaun (Tisha), Emily, Michelle (Brad), Robert (Melissa) and John; great grandchildren, Taegan, Lillian, Abigail, Ben, Daisy and Avie; sisters, Annalee Bock and Lucille Hasse; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, John Pett.
Prayer service will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Pastor Erv M. Hutter. Friends may visit with the family at the Gephart Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial and committal will take place on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Alpena.
